Doug DePice has been an artist for more than 50 years. He has exhibited in New York, New Jersey, Paris, Museum of Contemporary Religious Art, St. Louis, MO, Agora Gallery, Parsons Truman Gallery, Fine Arts Museum of Long Island, and The Cinque Gallery.
He attended Fairleigh Dickinson University, a master’s at NYU, and received his Teaching Certification at Montclair State University. Doug’s teaching highlights include creating a national award-winning lesson on 9/11 and receiving a Geraldine R. Dodge Grant. He and his art class were featured in the HBO documentary, What Happened September 11. He contributed to A Passion for Teaching and is the author of An Art Teacher’s Drawings of His Students and Interdisciplinary Education: Learning Across the Curriculum. Now retired, he was inspired by his granddaughter, Bianca, to write and illustrate his first children’s book, Why Don’t I Have A Daddy?
