Karen Amanda Toulon is an award-winning multi-platform journalist and host who covers global business, economic and cultural news. She has worked with CNBC, Bloomberg, Reuters, and CBS Radio. Karen received a Gwen Ifill Award from the International Women's Media Foundation and a Pegasus Award from the Newswomen's Club of New York for leadership in diversity and mentoring.
She was part of the team reporting on Black-owned small businesses for Bloomberg’s Businessweek, earning a Society for Advancing Business Editors and Writers (SABEW) Award.
Born in London and raised in New York, Karen received her BA from Dartmouth College and her MS from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
Inspired by family stories and her own experiences, The ABCs of Paradise Found is Karen's first collaboration with her husband, Eric Rhinehart, who illustrated the story. Karen and Eric have two daughters and live in New Jersey.
